Beer, Beer, Beer

At home, it takes us months to go through a 6-pack of beer because we don't drink that much of it. On this trip, the beer was excellent and cheaper than the alcoholic alternatives and many non-alcoholic drinks as well. It seemed every picture each of us took of the other featured at least one glass of beer. Well, we were on vacation. The picture in the middle is the cooler at the Cambrinus Restaurant in Bruges, which featured 400 kinds of beer. The shot at right was taken in Luxembourg after a beautiful day of walking around sightseeing.

Yes, the Belgians take their beer seriously- the proprietor of "de Bier Tempel" (at left above) was very helpful when Ron requested a specific brand he wanted to buy for a client and our oldest son. The other two shots above are Regina at lunch on a square in Bruges, and at the refreshment stand in the Military Museum in Brussels.

And, above, a work of classic Belgian art. Finally, a picture of us enjoying beer together - it was taken by a young British woman as we had dinner on our last night in Brussels.
